Towards the middle of the 19th century, the method of te excavations was more scientific and allowedthe archeologist of the time to discover places like the forum, the amphiteather, suburban thermal baths, the via dell’abbondanza, the hearthbeat of the city
The place is so huge ( 70 acres ) where the excavations still going on and the most surprising aspect is, in fact, the high numbers of homes, luxurious or humble, that have preserved their bottles, glassware, and ovens. Even more surprisingthe amountof furnishings that have remained intact, permetting us to see into the most personal aspects the life of the ancient inhabitans.
